As i continue my quest for correct 914 info prior to the start of my restoration, this one is puzzling me. What is the correct alignment of the door handle aperture with the corresponding one on the rear quarter.?
Here is two pictures of an original 21,000 mile six that is advertised for sale at the moment. Should the bottom line up or the top.? Looks a little odd to me, are the two indentations not the same size from factory ? Your experienced thoughts please gents. Many thanks Dave ![]() |

I would think that the more important alignment is the top of door to the top of rear (fender). Drivers door looks low… |

That car is pretty special and the dealer has a talent for finding such things. Special prices too. The door may need adjustment. The side pictures aren't conclusive. |
