Noticed an advertisement in Panorama for Automotion comeback. Went on line and result is site brings up Rosepassion. …….which apparently is a UK parts vendor. Not sure if this brings anything to the table from a quick search of a couple of parts. I believe prices are in Euros inc VAT ….Suspect tariffs and shipping could be issues. All that for what it’s worth.

Rose passion purchased performance products from Ecklers quite a while ago. Performance products purchased Automotion many years ago. They all just kept the Automotion domain. Rose Passion in France bought the Automotion / Weltmeister inventory, but most of it sold out years ago and is not being reproduced.

I saw the advertisement so thought it was something new. I gave up on Automotion when performance bought them. Wasn’t all that impressed by the idea of buying stuff from UK when most is available here from decent sources……..

One reason for my interest was this car was tuned to Automotion “ specs” and parts available back in the day…..that “girl” is now 43.

I used to live on wolf road in Sunnyvale and go to all the Automotion swap meets. I used to have lots of Weltmeister parts on my car. Then I moved to so cal and visited performance products a lot. At least I still have Pelican Parts close by for emergency parts.

Rose Passion (a French Co.) Is the purchaser & owners of the former (Performance Products) Automotion Co. & Weltmiester brand.
Its stocking location is is Chambley Bussières.
Since its acquisition in 2024 many of the Weltmiester branded components have ceased to be available as the co. burned through existing stock and either didn't see a business case or lost engineering to continue to produce certain (914 specific) items.

I am a Z car freak...

I traded my first 914 for a 72 240Z.

I'm as "Datsun" as you can be!

Nissan was taken over in 2000 by Renault (voting shares).

The French have driven Nissan into the ground.

The guy they put in charge is wanted by the Japanese authorities for massive income tax fraud.

I repaired a 19 Altima for a wiring failure to the ambient temp sensor. The major issue was the wiring itself was ALUMINUM and it was disintegrating!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Nothing Nissan makes today is worth buying IMO. I actively steer customers away from the brand. If one comes in, I advise customers to sell it BEFORE 100k.

I've been an "import automotive technician" for more than 4 decades.
I banned French junk within the first three years. Peugeots and Renaults were truly unfixable.

Ninja Proverb (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ninja.gif)
If France is involved in an automotive endeavor, it's doomed...
