Every time I use the belt this happens. Can’t think of how I may have incorrectly installed the seatbelt. The webbing is new and mechanism rebuilt by reputable supplier.

Maybe the new belt material is too flexible.

This was specifically ordered for the 914 by a well known supplier many here have used.

Perhaps you’re suggesting they used the wrong material.??

Could be a twist (or half twist) in the free part of the belt, so every time it retracts it carries the twist into the anchor?

Is it normal for the webbing to touch the interior B pillar trim are did I screw up the install? Want to check before I remove the backpad.

I just put in some new Corbeau seatbelts and was having the same problem. I ended up rotating the pivot point about 15 degrees counterclockwise and that took care of the problem.

Interestingly I just put custom color belts in my car and now this happens at least on the drivers seat. It also happens at a specific length point on the belt. Two thing help on mine. Pull the slack out more down from the guide than across your body. Pull slowly and watch for point where belt folds over and adjust pull accordingly. looking at your picture, maybe trying to get the beauty cover down closer to the belt so it physically can't roll over.

Similar to my fix, but the pivot point pivots how did you lock it down in the better position?
