I just came across this one today, and it's located in my town. I don't know the seller. But if anyone wants a PPI done on the car I'd be happy to look it over for you.

Whoa description says nothing about past accident. I wonder if they were able to save the inner fender VIN stamp?

My question too. It's great to post stuff like that IF you know or have a strong basis. Otherwise, it may be unfair to characterize someone's nice car.

I was curious/confused if it was the same car. I took the VIN from the Ebay add and looked it up in the 914World VIN search. Looked like the exact same VIN/914 to me...

Unless he's the only owner of the car, then it is impossible for him to state
truthfully that there are no accidents. How would he know? It seems like you
should ask how long he's owned the car and see if he has contact info for the
previous owner.

I only wish mine looked a quarter as nice as that one... same year, same color.

A 5 second look at the front trunk fender VIN will tell a lot. Judging by the pictures, no way that could be straightened out.

And even if it was a front clip replacement, someone did one HELL of a job. Front trunk and passenger door gap clearances look damn near perfect.

I agree- those gaps look perfect. Who ever did the repair job, assuming that is the car seen wrecked above, did a first class job across the board. Let's face it, these cars are 50 years old and despite odometers showing sub-100K miles, we all know that most of these cars have had their odometers rollover at least once and often times a couple times. In all of that time they get bumped and there is damage. As long as it is repaired correctly, and the car does not have a branded title, I am fine with that.

For me, if I were interested in that particular Six, I would somehow get it in front of Kent Simmons, Auto Art Customs in Torrence, CA, so he could tell me the quality of the repairs. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
