1970 914-6, all original

All Teeners

Yea I get it, we teeners are special - very special. And, considering this little fact so are the prices of the most benign little part.

The webbing for the oil tank hoses on my 914-6 are a bit frayed and I went to source some and - YOW!!

If anyone has a reasonable source or is hording hose, let me know, spending 600+ on oil hoses......well, just seems a bit TOO SPECIAL. dry.gif

Read the quotes at the various sites carefully, they lull you in with 58.00 and then when you get ready to order the price is PER FOOT! mad.gif

What size are you looking at specifically

Here’s 25mm

Might also check other places - Aircraft Spruce, Summit, etc.

Large ID line is not cheap regardless of where you source it. Click to view attachment.

Wanna’ play . . . Gotsta’ pay.

Are you talking 22mm ID oil line hose ? braided oil line hose from $18/ft on Elephant Racing ,thats were I got mine many years ago and it has gone up as I bought mine @ 12/ft , might pay to check them .
I presume you intend to replace hose only and that's fine , new ferule's are @ Stoddards @ under 4 bucks each if you use your old fittings again ,thats where I got mine.
Cheers.

Elephant woven hoses are 2 grades one is a plain hose and the other is wire reinforced but both have the same pressure and temp rating ,happy to help cheers.
BillJ
I may have some spares if that helps. Will need to find them
rgalla9146
If you are replacing the hose on original fittings you need 2' for the two between
tank and the cooler.
The one in front of the engine (smaller diameter) is less than one foot.
You have all the fittings ?
Lucky dog, keep it original. smile.gif

Here are my hoses

I was/am most concerned with the two top ones

AFAIK Pegasus has steel braided hose and fittings

Little bit of confusion here. Those are 'breather lines', not 'oil lines'.
There is little/no pressure in them. Not really sure why they are cloth braided on the outside, doesn't need the strength. Pretty much any kind of oil resistant hose will work, although I understand the desire for originality. Keep looking, yea $50+ per foot is ludicrous unless you are going for concours. Your old ones don't look that bad

agree.gif we get those lines for something like $5 a foot from SSF. They are cloth braided but not under pressure.

I just checked. Continental cloth braided hose. part # N2037115, 19mm, $15 a meter + ship (whatever shipping cost me). Let me know if that works for you and I'll order it up.

Had you been more exact and said breather hose, we would have been on the right track...nevermind, Stoddard have 24mm breather/vent braided hose so check them out .
Cheers.
Slow to reply and well covered by the earlier response's ok.

Glad you got solved! These are the ones I have that are available

It is probably below from Belmetric, I would assume it was originally a Cohline product:

https://belmetric.com/cohline-series-2122-c...se/?sku=RH14X20

Not sure if it is 14mm ID x 20mm OD that you need or the next size up.
