JOEPROPER
I need a late model speedometer with functioning odometer. Does anyone out there have a nice one?

I have a few, but don't know if they work and not sure how to check when out of the car

I have this one. Tested and everything works as it should, speedometer, odometer and trip odometer. Only issue is some dummy (me) slap.gif dropped it and dented the trim ring. Pictures with the blue pen in them points to it.

If this one works for you I would take $40 and that includes shipping to you. Let me know what you think.

@GaroldShaffer
Good morning if JOEPROPER doesn't want this I will take .I have the same problem ,my speedometer works but the odometer does not , I want to get it fixed to maintain my mileage ( I think I was messing with it and used the reset and now it doesn't work) but in the mean time I want to keep track of the miles I am adding while test driving my car. Those speedometer repair shops are so expensive I just need to put my money into getting my car running .
Thanks Garold,
Steve

You can jury rig an electric drill to turn it.

You can jury rig an electric drill to turn it.

You will need an old speedometer cable to attach to the drill if out of the car .

Actually just the trip rest cable. One end will fit where the speedometer cable goes and use the other end in the drill. Make sure you run the drill in reverse.

When I was testing my original speedometer I think I might have run it in reverse (not knowing any better) After I replaced my cable I noticed the odometer no longer worked and the speedometer didn't quite seem to be accurate . Did I mess my original one up by doing this .
@GaroldShaffer
Would you happen to have a trip reset cable because I seem to have misplaced mine ?

"Use a variable speed drill and ramp up the speed slowly. Direction is the same as the direction the needle moves. Clockwise viewed from the front, ccw from the rear, so your drill should be running in reverse."
