So when i finish the motor going to tackle refreshing the interior. I have a more modern head unit and want to go vintage correct. What are the appropriate period options for 1975?
BillJ
Bowlsby's site has the following radios as optional:

Radio Hannover(stereo - with automatic search)
Blaupunkt radio - Emden with electric antenna (MW-LW-UW)
Blaupunkt radio - Braunshweig

What was the stock unit?
Thunderchief
My 1974 came with a bunch of parts including a Blaupunkt Radio that I was told was from a '75 that I had tested and is for sale. PM me if you're interested.

Can you post a picture of your '75 radio here?

last summer i installed a '76 model Blaupunkt Frankfurt in my '75. using a 7-pin DIN bluetooth adapter, i can pipe tunes from my phone through the deck. pretty neat!

I have a 75 Koln radio with auto seek that works pretty good for me. Was a high end option from what I have researched. Euro model as seen here:

Has the DIN for EQ and input for iPad /BT. works very well and good internal amp for power

That is my plan as well. Nice period look but with modern function. Already have a 69'/70' Frankfurt in hand that I am about to send for reconditioning and it had the auxiliary port that can be used for Bluetooth or direct jack. Not sure i want to use that one unless you could have gotten the car with one.

it's sold out of lithuania, arrived quickly, and the seller was responsive. there may be other options out there as well.

be sure to specify to the seller whether you need the 6-pin or 7-pin variant, i believe they offer both.

initial pairing took only seconds, though subsequent pairings sometimes take a moment or two to connect with my iphone. occasionally i have to hit play/pause a couple times. which is a small nit i guess, first-world problem biggrin.gif

So i worked with Thunder to acquire his period correct 1975 radio and excited to get that installed in the future! Will post some pics as things progress. Thanks everyone. Great forum with great people.
