Anyone swap out their stock camshaft for a two piece and have the old one laying around collecting dust?. Im not looking to build a monster engine, just want to make a nice occasional driver so the stock cam would be just fine for me.

i think the same cam works on 1.7-1.8

thank you

David

If you are building a monster engine you do not want a stock FI cam. What is the plan for the engine? Displacement, intake, exhaust?

hello

I am not building a monster. I have a single carbureted 1.8. Two of the teeth on the stock camshaft are broken so i just want to replace it and drive on.

I think I have a good one in the parts bin, but I'm out of town until mid December sad.gif

I recently opened up an engine that looked like it was hardly run at all. Looks like the missed the dowel pin alignment which caused issues. Cam looked near new. I believe I have another one or two sitting around also.
I can check later Saturday.
Shoot me a note.
