This kit:

https://914rubber.com/rs-inner-door-handle-kit

Looking to see how far apart the holes are for the grab handle. My 914 I'm using Type 2 Door grab handles which look okay, but 914 Rubber ones look much nicer. Mine are about 6 1/4" mounting hole spacing.

Anyone have a set laying around or installed they can measure for me?

This is what I'm referring to:

Hey Root Werks,

Mark asked if I could respond to this on his behalf. The RS door pull handle we sell is approximately 8" across from center to center on the mounting holes. Here are some pictures for reference.

Please let me know if you need more info.

Thanks,
Blake

Thanks Blake, that's exactly what I was looking for. Scrunching the mounting 1 3/4" would probably make the handle look funny. Guess I could cut that off the 914Rubber handle? The plastic parts cover the material edges anyway?

Hmm, something for me to ponder. Would certainly look nicer/more finished than my pull handles.

Thanks again!

The metal is fairly stout and I couldn't bend it by hand, but I didn't want to bend a set from inventory. If you have the right tools you could trim and rebend if that works for your car.

Thanks,
Blake

Had a different scenario than you do but my handles which I believe are the 914rubber, I anchored one end in a stock door blind nut position then welded a small metal tab on door framework with blind nut to locate the upper to make it work.
Might be an option??

I like that placement as well.

Although I won't be moving my handle at this point. Don't want to poke any more holes in my new 914Rubber door panels.

I tried to use one stock speadnut location. Makes me wonder what other combinations would work with the 914Rubber pull handle distance? Probably a few options.

I'm going to buy a kit and shorten the handle. I really like the handle cover and end caps.
